Reclaimed Materials
Reclaimed materials have a role to play in new building materials and products.
Waste packaging such as glass paper and plastic have been created by means of energy expenditure in cultivation.extraction, transport, management and processing. These materials can be fused or bonded together to form new materials with a range of advantageous qualities controlled by varying the mix. Thus materials which are currently written off as landfill can be re used several times over by innovation as alternatives to many products such as plasterboard which produce high emissions and energy consumption. The materials are often improvements over existing as the improved qualities such as varying degrees of density and elasticity can be superior to many products currently in use.
